Scrabble Word Finder

Enter your Scrabble tiles to find every valid play, sorted by point value. Use ? for blank tiles.

Using the ENABLE word list — similar coverage to TWL/NWL. Scores shown are face-value tile points (no board multipliers).

How the Scrabble Word Finder Works

Enter up to 12 tiles — including up to two blank tiles represented by ? — and the finder checks every possible combination against the ENABLE word list. Results are sorted by Scrabble point value (face-value tile sum) so the highest-scoring plays appear first.

About the ENABLE Dictionary

ENABLE (Enhanced North American Benchmark Lexicon) is a public-domain word list that closely mirrors the TWL (Tournament Word List) and NWL used in competitive North American Scrabble. The vast majority of TWL words are in ENABLE, making it an excellent reference for everyday Scrabble play. For tournament-level play, always confirm words against the official TWL or Collins Scrabble Words list.

Scrabble Scoring Explained

Each tile in Scrabble carries a face-value point score. The scores shown in this tool are the raw tile values — they do not include board multipliers (Double Letter, Triple Word, etc.). On a real board, placement matters as much as the word itself.

High-value tiles to watch for:

  • Q, Z — 10 points each
  • J, X — 8 points each
  • K — 5 points
  • F, H, V, W, Y — 4 points each

Scrabble Strategy Tips

  • Use all 7 tiles for a bingo: Playing all your tiles earns a 50-point bonus. Keep an eye on common 7-letter words.
  • Hook onto existing words: Adding a letter to an existing word (like adding S to make a plural) often opens more scoring opportunities than playing a fresh word.
  • Keep a balanced rack: Avoid holding too many vowels or consonants. A mix of 2–3 vowels and 4–5 consonants gives you the most flexibility.
  • Save S and blanks: These are your most flexible tiles — use them for big scoring plays rather than small ones.
